Groshan Fabiola asked: If you thought that the fight between The Apprentice’s Donald Trump and The View’s Rosie O’Donnell couldn’t get any worse (or even downright ridiculous), think again.
Seriously, as if it weren’t bad enough that the whole world has to bear witness to the ongoing verbal tirade between billionaire and the television personality, one of them had to go and send a very personal package to Barbara Walters, O’Donnell’s co-host in the view. Walters was reeled into the fight after Trump said that she had been saying bad things behind O’Donnell’s back.
What was the package? Trump mailed some underwear that apparently belonged to O’Donnell. To top it all off, he placed the underwear inside a large frame so that Walters could put it up in her office.
Admittedly, it was a funny stunt, but how much more are people willing to take? Obviously, this is never going to end unless someone accepts defeat and apologizes, and the way things are going, it’s highly unlikely that Trump will be the one to surrender, and some may even attest that he should not.
Looking back, who can you say was clearly in the wrong? Sure, O’Donnell was quick with her judgments. After all, what Trump did for recovering addict and Miss USA Tara Connor was pretty noble. He gave her a second chance at life, another opportunity to start over. Connor herself was humbled by Trump’s forgiveness and generosity, and has expressed her gratitude towards the wealthy businessman.
Okay, so it has been established that Trump did a good thing for Connor, but can the same be said about his reaction towards O’Donnell’s comments? Although she was a bit harsh for attacking Trump’s moral values, does she deserve to be subjected to this continuing humiliation? Or better yet, does Walters deserve to be involved in it? Trump knows that he is a powerful and influential man, and he’s using his status to his full advantage. Perhaps only time will tell what will become of this madness.
